Being an x ray technician, you have to widely deal with the patients and take their x ray films.  So the first and foremost instruction during your training will be patient care. During your training sections you will be trained for following things.
•    Removing the accessories and gold if worn by the patient
•    Patient positioning
•    Preparing patient for exposure
•    Giving  instructions to the patient
•    Being supportive to patient
•    Concern about patient safety
•    Using radiation protection measures to protect both patient and the radiologist.

  • Radiologist and physiologist relation

Doctors totally rely on the x ray films for diagnosis and treatment. Thus in a training session, you are taught how to co-operate with the surgeon for correct diagnosis. Many aspects of radiology may not be known to a surgeon. Thus such aspects should be explained to a doctor by a radiologist in the duration of the patient handling.

X ray technician deals with radiography machines such as x ray machine, CT scan, MRI, PET, Digital radiography and others. So a proper training is necessary for handling of these equipments.
